HECLA, MB— Gull Harbour Marina recently completed a major renovation of its kitchen at The Lighthouse Inn Restaurant + Lounge.
The changes were made in preparation for a complete overhaul of the menu which will continue to feature fresh and locally sourced meat and produce.
A new char broiler has already improved the flame-grilled premium Angus New York strip steaks, which are aged for 28 days.
Ground beef is being sourced from Bar Z Ranch in Arborg, which is available alongside fresh pickerel from Lake Winnipeg.
Gull Harbour is putting the finishing touches on the new menu which is expected to debut in the weeks ahead.
It's the latest in an aggressive push to modernize the property which also includes accommodations, a full-service marina, vendor service, and a general store.
Work began with the complete overhaul of the dining room and lounge at The Lighthouse Inn Restaurant and Angry Pelican Lounge three-years-ago.
That project included the construction of an all-glass three-season dining room and new patio space all right on the shore of Lake Winnipeg.
All the guest rooms were also recently renovated featuring all new washrooms with heated floors.
